Have your child choose twobooks at his or her reading level!Then, for each book, have your child complete the following activity. Children who complete two activities over the summer and bring them to school in the fall will get to participate in a celebration event!
Write a letter to a friend Start a journal and write about your daily activities Write a story about your favorite thing to do Create a word search using your computer After watching a TV show or movie, write about it. Tell about the characters.
Math Activities Addition and subtraction flashcards Give clues for a “Mystery Number” Set up a play store- use real change to “buy” things Find patterns in things around you. Create your own patterns. Guess (estimate) how many M&M’s, or shells, noodles, etc. are in a jar. Then count.
