First Grade
Your child is in first grade, and you're wondering what you can do to help him or her be more successful in school! Here are a few videos with activities that you can do with your child at home.

Have your child choose twobooks at his or her reading level!Then, for each book, have your child complete the following activity. Children who complete two activities over the summer and bring them to school in the fall will get to participate in a celebration event!

Give clues for a “Mystery Number”
Set up a play store- use real change to “buy” things
Find patterns in things around you. Create your own patterns.
Guess (estimate) how many M&M’s, or shells, noodles, etc. are in a jar. Then count.
